About the Parsha
In Bereshit, we read about the snake in Gan Eden (the Garden of Eden) who persuades Chava (Eve) to eat the forbidden fruit.
About the Dessert
These snakes are made with sugar cookie dough (recipe here).
Take small amounts of dough and roll into snake shapes.
Place on baking sheet.
Bake according to the recipe.
Once cooled, draw eyes with a black edible-ink marker.
Optional: Add food coloring to bits of dough before shaping into snakes.
For the multi-colored snakes, we made several different colored pieces of dough. Roll each color into a snake shape. Twist the colored snakes together gently. Take off pieces of the mixed roll to make small snakes.
