About the Parsha

In Chukat Bnei Yisrael (the children of Israel) complain about the lack of water in the desert. Hashem (G-d) instructs Moshe (Moses) and Aharon (Aaron) to speak to a rock which will then produce water. Instead, Moshe hits the rock with his staff, bringing forth water.
