About the Parsha
In Ki Tisa Moshe (Moses) descends from Har Sinai (Mt. Sinai) carrying the two Tablets engraved with the Ten Commandments. When he sees Bnei Yisrael (the people of Israel) worshipping the golden calf, he breaks the Tablets and destroys the idol.
Later, Moshe prepares a second set of Tablets and returns to the top of the mountain, where Hashem (G-d) inscribes them with the Ten Commandments, which are then delivered to the people.
About the Dessert
These Tablets were made of cut pieces of bittersweet chocolate.
Start with 4 rectangles.
The decorations are made with melted caramel chips (can also use white chocolate chips) in a sandwich bag. Snip off a corner of the bag, and pipe the designs.
Break up one set of “Tablets” and keep the other set whole.
