About the Parsha
In Korach we find the famous story of mutiny against Moshe (Moses) and Aharon (Aaron). Korach and his followers attempt to overthrow their leaders, and are swallowed up by the earth.
About the Dessert
To illustrate what my father calls “the rebellion that fell through,” this is a crumb cake (recipe here) baked in a bundt pan, with some of the crumbs sprinkled on top.
The people are made of sugar cookies (recipe here) decorated with royal icing (recipe here) and melted chocolate.
