About the Parsha
In Mas’ei a recap is given of the journey of Bnei Yisrael (the Children of Israel) from Egypt to the Land of Israel, listing all of the stops along the way.
About the Dessert
This is a coffee crumb cake (recipe here).
The “journey” is depicted by a line of piped melted chocolate in the shape of their route.
The people of Israel are printed, cut out, and colored (by the kids). A toothpick is taped to the back of each picture, then stuck in the cake.
