About the Parsha
The Parsha of Miketz takes place in Egypt. Yosef (Joseph) becomes a governor in Egypt, and when famine strikes the surrounding area, people come to him to purchase food. These people include Yosef’s own brothers.
About the Dessert
We created an Egyptian scene on a cake.
The base is a coffee crumb cake (recipe here). NOTE: The crumb topping is enough for 2 cakes!
The pyramids are made using sugar cookie triangles stuck together with melted chocolate.
The people and the camels are made of sugar cookies as well (recipe here).
