About the Parsha
In Mishpatim we read the details of many laws given to Bnei Yisrael (the people of Israel). One section talks about the laws pertaining to damages, including when injury is incurred by an open pit on someone’s property.
About the Dessert
This pit is made of a bundt cake (any recipe will do). It can be made using a round cake with a smaller circle cut out of the middle.
The cake is covered in chocolate ganache (recipe here).
Chocolate Oreo cookies were broken up and placed around to look like the ground.
A toy animal and a Playmobil figurine complete the scene described in the Parsha.
