About the Parsha
In Nitzavim Moshe (Moses) warns Bnei Yisrael (the Children of Israel) about the future exiles of the Jewish people. However, he then prophesies that in the end the people will return to Hashem (G-d) and to their land. They will be gathered from all over the world and brought back to the Holy Land.
About the Dessert
These “earth cookies” are made using the basic sugar cookie recipe (here).
Divide the dough in half.
Add blue food coloring to one half of the dough (I use gel food coloring).
Add green food coloring to the other half.
Take a small bit of the blue dough and a small bit of the green.
Roll the pieces together between your palms to create a ball.
Place the balls on a cookie sheet and bake according to the instructions in the recipe.
