
About the Parsha
In Pikudei there is a description of the making of the eight garments of the Kohen Gadol (the high priest). These are: the apron, breastplate, cloak, crown, hat, tunic, sash and breeches.
About the Dessert
These Kohen Gadol cookies were made with the sugar cookie dough (recipe here).
Use this template to cut out the shape of the Kohen Gadol.
Roll out the cookie dough a bit thicker than usual (about 3/4 inch).
Using the template (here) and a sharp knife, cut out the outline of the Kohen Gadol.
After baking and cooling the cookies, using royal icing (recipe here) in various colors to depict the garments on the Kohen Gadol.
Make the stones of the Choshen (breastplate) using mini chocolate lentils stuck into the icing.
