About the Parsha
In Shelach we read about the messengers sent into the Land of Israel to inspect it before the people enter. The messengers return carrying extraordinarily large fruits from the Land of Israel: a cluster of grapes, a fig, and a pomegranate.
About the Dessert
The ground is made of a chocolate meltaway cake (recipe here). Leave a strip in the middle without crumbs, to create a path.
The people and the fruits are made of sugar cookies (recipe here).
Decorate the people and the fruits using royal icing (recipe here).
Use melted chocolate to stick each fruit to the middle of a toothpick.
Place the people in a row along the path.
Prop each toothpick across two people cookies.
