About the Parsha
In Tetzaveh there is a description of the clothing to be made for the Kohen Gadol (high priest). The Choshen was the breastplate containing 12 stones representing the 12 tribes of Israel.
About the Dessert
These cookies were made using sugar cookies (recipe here).
Roll out the dough and cut out rectangles using a sharp knife.
Bake the cookies, then cool.
Use white royal icing (recipe here) to coat each cookie.
Cut up multi-colored sour sticks (I used sour belts, cut into individual colored pieces).
Stick 4 rows of 3 “stones” onto each “breastplate” cookie.
