About the Dessert

The tent and the people are all made of gingerbread (recipe here).
Roll out the dough and cut out people shapes using cookie cutters.
Using a sharp knife, cut out 2 identical rectangles and 2 identical triangles. Cut small “openings” in each rectangle and triangle (to represent the 4 doors of the tent).
When the cookies are baked and cooled, decorate using royal icing (recipe here) and melted chocolate.
Construct the tent by dipping the edges of each piece in melted chocolate. The completed tent can be propped up and placed in the fridge to harden.
Make a small rectangle of melted chocolate and prop up the people cookies to harden.
Ice the tent and decorate the people with the white icing.
