About the Parsha
In the Parsha of VaYigash Yaakov (Jacob) moves to Egypt along with all of his children and grandchildren, and reunites with his beloved son Yosef (Joseph). This is a pivotal event in Jewish history, as they settled in Egypt.
About the Dessert
At a loss for ideas, I looked for an Egyptian dessert. I came across these butter cookies, called “betefour,” an Egyptian version of petit fours, and they were a big hit!
